Cafe Mohrenkopfle in Bad Krozingen

Like a few others in the reviews, I'd like to draw attention to the name choice. I am aware that the café was not just opened yesterday and that the name was chosen at a time when it was still socially acceptable to utter racist insults without even rethinking the meaning for those affected *. Still, keeping the name is a sign, and not a good one. The word M * hr is of Racial origin and has always been used in a negative context. It reduces BPOC to their skin color and origin. It also makes fun of both and slavery at the same time. You are welcome to read this. There are various articles for this. In a world that is more and more linguistically sensitive and alert, it would be appropriate to seriously consider changing a name. Especially since the café itself, including the dishes and the staff, seems to be quite respected and popular. But having a word in your name that offends others, in my opinion, does not speak in favor of paying a visit to the café. It also shows unprofessionalism, a lack of knowledge of the (German) language and general German history, as well as racism. Dear business owners, do you really want to represent THAT?

The best café in the world, I could lie across the cake;) apart from the chocolates and truffles. At the moment there is delicious coffee to take away and the friendliness of the pastry chef should be passed on to everyone. It was my pleasure!

They definitely have delicious cakes and coffee here and outside of lockdown, getting a seat here is often a matter of luck

Have breakfast with them. There was an ample breakfast of cheese sausage and jam. In addition delicious different rolls. Everything was very tasty. Friendly and nice service. We will come back. Although it was Saturday and the business was very busy, everything went smoothly. Until next time.

A great cafe! A good and tasty selection of cakes, delicious coffee, great ambience with modern-romantic decor. The service is extremely friendly and attentive! When I took my Laktostop tablets out of my pocket, she hurried over with a glass of water! The restaurant is highly recommended and we will definitely come back.
